With starlight_petrichor Haiku / rain Bland haze of drizzle. Against the toneless grey skies, Plants shine, vibrant jewels.
Couplets / outer space They say space is the final frontier: So leave it uncharted. Seal the barrier. That yawning unfathomability, that ever-hungry black: When you gaze at infinity, infinity gazes back.
Villanelle / 'paradise' The marvels of the world are scarcely few, Small wonder I am often drawn away. Still when you call, I set my sails for you. The crystal sheen of seas, the blooming hue Of pink horizon scattered in salt-spray. The marvels of the world are scarcely few. Enveloping mist, panoramic views, The violent green cliffs along the trail-way. Still when you call, I set my sails for you. I love the neon streets of cities brand new, Those glamours, smoke-filled bars, midnight cafes. The marvels of the world are scarcely few. Jewels, silken girls and holy white topped roofs, Those laughing voices beckon me to stay -- Still when you call, I set my sails for you. Because, these all I'd gladly trade w/out rue, For just one of your ordinary Mondays. The marvels of the world are scarcely few, Still when you call, I set my sails for you.
